University of Texas Medical Branch

Maua Methodist Hospital has a long history of working with teaching hospitals throughout Africa, Europe and the US. For several years the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston has been sending young medical students to MMH for a unique learning experience. This benefits the students, MMH and the community of Maua. MMH is a vibrant teaching hospital that is facing a changing landscape of medical services where more specialized capabilities in treating traumas and other conditions requiring specific surgical skills are needed.
