Critically Needed Hospital Beds
We are raising funds for critically needed hospital beds and High Dependency Unit (HDU) equipment for the Maua Methodist Mission Hospital in Kenya. The Maua hospital provides critical medical care to the Maua and northern Kenya area.

AIDS Orphans will be provided with out-patient medical care, AIDS/HIV medication, National Health Insurance coverage, education, food security and where necessary, shelter. Guardians will be trained to provide better care for these AIDS orphans. Community Health also provides screening for non-communicable diseases e.g. diabetes & hypertension, cervical cancer, & provides basic treatment & referral to hospital for more specialized intervention.

The advance gifts for this project will help the hospital pay the debts incurred by the poor patients who cannot pay their hospital bills, and assist the hospital to continue operating.

In the greater Maua are, there are many subsistence farmers who cannot afford even the hospital consultation fee of $2.00. When they are involved in an accident, have a serious illness or need surgery, they feel they have no options and suffer needlessly.
NHIF covers in-patient and out-patient care, the whole family, essential costs (the family doesn’t pay for basic services), helps make families healthier, educated and confident.
$5.00 per month OR $60.00 per year

SAFE Program
Surgical Access for Everyone
A program that provides access to badly needed surgical procedures for people in Kenya who otherwise could not afford the healthcare they need. SAFE is a partnership with Maua Methodist Hospital, the African Mission Healthcare and Friends of Maua Hospital.

Kathie is a Mission Volunteer with the General Board of Global Ministries and serves in Maua, Kenya. She coordinates with the mission teams, makes presentations while in the US and is a board member of FOMH. She needs your help to finance her mission service.
